Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The City of Mount Vernon is beginning a slow expansion of its borders. The expansion is coming through the annexation of properties which are already receiving city services, including water, sewer and trash. The owners of the Mi Casita Restaurant presented a petition of supporters signatures asking that the business not be annexed.
