Local area farmers, back yard gardeners and cottage business owners should plan now to participate in the weekly Farmers Market in downtown Mount Vernon. It will begin Saturday, March 5 on the square. There is so much more than an exchange of goods that  has come from the Farmers Market, according to Willie Bane, market coordinator.
