Army Sgt. Christopher L. Works has returned to Fort Richardson, Alaska after a year-long deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The soldier is one of 100 members of the 23rd Engineer Company, 6th Engineer Battalion, 3rd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade. For more information, see the March 31 edition of the Optic-Herald.
