City of Mount Vernon employee Tim Elledge, left, lends a helping hand to Mount Vernon homeowners who brought refuse to the  city’s collection site on Holbrook St. Saturday. He is one of several employees who remain available to assist. City and county sites are open through Saturday, and some will offer extended days.
