Guaranty Bond Bank was awarded the two year depository contract for Franklin County at the Monday, April 25 meeting of the county commissioners court. The change will take effect June 1. The bank offered a 1.5 percent floor to the county’s interest rate on all but deposits of more than 180 days. For more details, see the April 28 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
