Early voting in person to fill one seat on the Franklin County Water District’s Board of Directors and three council seats for City of Mount Vernon will begin Monday, May 2. A brief biographical sketch and answers to timely questions from each candidate can be found on Pages 6A and 7A in this issue of the Optic-Herald. Voters are reminded that only those persons living in the Place 4 area (same as Commissioner’s Pct. 4) are eligible to vote in the water district election.
In-person early voting continues through Tuesday, May 10.  In both elections, applications for ballots by mail will be accepted through Friday, May 6.
