Franklin County Commissioners gave a nod of approval for federal grant applications to be made for Homeland Security Funds and local matching fund waivers for the Off-System Bridge Program.
The bridge program provides for money spent on approved bridges and culverts on county roads to count as matching funds. These funds are counted as the county’s required match of bridges constructed by the Texas Department of Transportation on county roads.
