A training workshop for hotel/motel taxes has been planned for Wednesday, June 22 at 1 p.m. at the City Hall. The City of Mount Vernon and Franklin County recently joined the Texas Hotel and Lodging Association. “One of the benefits of joining this association is that we get complementary training pertinent to implementing the tax,” Teresia Wims, Economic Development Corporation Coordinater for the City of Mount Vernon, said.
