The tip top of the Franklin County Courthouse is a hot place to work on a summer day in Texas, but it is a labor of love for Gene Galbraith and his crew. Todd Galbraith, Christopher Herron, project superintendent Stephen Dunn, Dave Galbraith and Gene Galbraith gather around the mechanism for the clock in the courthouse tower as they prepare to finish dismantling it. They will use the red pulleys to lower the pieces to the courtroom floor below. See the June 30 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for information on the clock restoration.
