A conveyor used for loading shavings was destroyed by fire Tuesday, July 5 around 2:45 p.m. at Bolin Shavings on FM 900 in Purley. According to Doug Bolin, the machine apparently overheated, a diesel line began to leak onto the motor of the machine and it caught fire. The fire started while the machine was inside the shaving facilities but was pushed outside with a small dozer before damage was caused to the building. The machine is valued at $10,000.
