The Franklin County Commissioners Court is looking for local courthouse memorabilia from more than 50 years ago. The items will be used in a display in the restored courthouse. The court is calling for items and particularly photos taken in the various offices of the building. Individuals may bring their photographs to the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald office, 108 Kaufman St., Wednesday through Friday. The photos will be digitally scanned while the donors wait. Information about the photo(s) will be taken at the time they are received. Items, such as light fixtures, official seals and any other item of interest should be dropped off. at the office of Franklin County Judge Paul Lovier at Franklin County’s East Courthouse Annex, 502 E. Main St., Mount Vernon.
