A room full of concerned citizens caused the Franklin County Commissioner’s Court budget workshop on Friday, Aug. 12 to be moved to a larger venue. The concern came from the possibility that support for more than a dozen of local service organizations could be cut from the 2012 budget. Revised revenue figures shrank the county’s anticipated deficit to $44,692 and revived the life of service organizations in the county. Earlier figures had the deficit at $433,435 at that same rate.
