The City of Mount Vernon has reopened the period for accepting applications for the HOME Program. The program can provide complete new homes to up to six qualified applicants. According to Mount Vernon City Secretary Tina Rose, some of the earlier applicants are not expected to qualify. For more details, see the August 25 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
