Pet owners should use caution

Print

Animal Control Officer Jeremy CoxAnimal Control Officer Jeremy Cox trapped, tranquilized and then euthanized this coyote Monday morning. Local area pet owners are urged to use caution when allowing their four legged family members outside. An increasing number of reports of attacks and missing pets have been received by Mount Vernon Animal Control Officer Jeremy Cox.
Mr. Cox is blaming an influx of predatory animals such as the coyote, in the accompanying photo, and the recently caught bobcat. See the November 10 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for the rest of the story.
