Emergency declared on NETO building

Print

The Franklin County Commissioners Court declared an emergency on Monday, Feb. 13 in order to move ahead with the plans to rebuild the Multi-Purpose building. The building, which housed the NETO (Northeast Texas Opportunities, Inc.) offices and the Senior Citizen Meal Center, burned Jan. 18. Commissioners asked local building designer Bob Stinson to begin designing the reconstruction of the building with allowances for possible additions to the original design. See the February 16 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for the rest of the story.
