Thomas Andrew “Andy” Trampus assumed duties last week as the new environmental code enforcement employee for the City of Mount Vernon. He joins the city after working in the oil and gas industry for several years. He previously taught biology, chemistry and physics at Mount Pleasant High School. Prior to that, he owned and operated an aquatic plant and pond management business.See the April 16 edition of the Optic-Herald for more information.
