Early voting in person to fill two seats on the Mount Vernon Independent School District’s Board of Trustees and three council seats for City of Mount Vernon will begin Monday, April 27. Early voting for both elections is being conducted at at the City Hall, located on the west side of the square in downtown Mount Vernon. The MVISD election’s early voting booths will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Early voting for the city will be available Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Monday, April 27 and May 4 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. See the April 23 edition of the Optic-Herald for more information.
