The Mount Vernon Post Office rural carriers collected approximately 400 pounds of food during the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers,
in conjunction with the United States Postal Service on Saturday, May 9. The food collected was donated to the Franklin County Community Food Bank. Members of the postal service are Donna Webb, Postmaster Monty White, Tiffany Pelham, Ron King, Jed Deal, and Karen Cameron.Mount Vernon Optic-Herald
