A local tax payer thought he was buying property in a tax sale for $2,700. Instead, he has gotten frustration and headaches for the property which he is now told “does not exist.” Mark Dorton was hoping to build a new home on what sales and tax documents said was 5.833 acres. The purchase was completed from local taxing entities Dec. 3, 2008. See the full story in the May 14 edition of the Optic-Herald.
