Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The principals for the Mount Vernon schools reported to the school board the changes in the school handbooks for the 2009-2010 school year during the regular monthly meeting on Monday, July 13. The biggest change is the combining of the high school and junior high handbooks and the intermediate and elementary handbooks to lower printing costs. Also, the cell phone policy was changed for all campuses. See the July 16 edition of the Optic-Herald for more information.
