School board spends stimulus money, asks for street namesBrenda Burling presents a request for $492,702 in
computer equipment to school board members. The board of trustees for Mount Vernon schools is requesting nominations for naming the streets on the district’s campus.

The main boulevard will remain Tiger Boulevard, and  the road south of the football field, the road adjoining with Rutherford St., and the road north of the Intermediate school along the baseball field will be named from those submitted.
