Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Tessie Bostick, Malori Carr, and Jesikah Salavaria, took first, second, and third places, respectively, in the  local Voice of Democracy Speech Contest. The contest is sponsored annually by the Franklin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3992. As winners they each received college scholarships and Miss Bostick will compete at the district level on Nov. 14. For more information, see the Nov. 5 edition of the Optic-Herald.
