Alexa Marquardt asks her question to Barbara Bush as a part of the Reading Discovery Distance Learning Program and Videoconference Across Texas on Friday, Feb. 3. Twenty-five students in Laura Hallonquist’s eighth grade history class at Mount Vernon Junior High participated in the event which included Mrs. Bush reading Mr. President, A Book of U. S. Presidents from the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and a question and answer session. The school registered through Region VIII to be a part of the conference.
