Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Members of the Mount Vernon land judging team work with members of the Avery and DeKalb teams at state. The Mount Vernon High School FFA land judging team earned their spot as tenth land judging team in the state of Texas at the annual state land judging contest in Stephenville on Thursday, April 22. Their final judged score for this year was 575, which was  only 44 points from the score of the fifth place team which qualified to compete at the national level.
