Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Elizabeth Stone, Salvador Badillo, and Joshua Rule were the first through third place winners, respectively, in the  Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center Child Abuse Prevention poster contest at Mount Vernon Intermediate School. The contest was conducted for fourth and fifth grade students and was judged by Sheriff Paul Fletcher. The contest was sponsored by Kathey Smedley of Child Advocacy Center and Amy Ford of the Communities in Schools program.
