Marilyn Elbert, Richard Carr, and Brad Sears will remain as president, vice-president and secretary of the Mount Vernon Independent School Board, respectively, after a unanimous vote during the board’s May 2010 regular meeting.
Mr. Carr and Mr. Sears were sworn into an additional three year term on the board of trustees after their seats were unopposed in the 2010 election. Ken Cushion advised the board that the district had received a certificate of occupancy for the new elementary building. “We will probably start letting some people begin moving some small stuff into the building,” Mr. Cushion said.
