Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The 51st anniversary of the Mount Vernon school bus wreck will be Wednesday, Sept. 29. A monument was dedicated in 2002 to honor the wreck victims. It was built with donations from family members, survivors, and friends. It is located on the south side of the school boulevard approaching the main school campus.
