Ronald Pynes of Mount Vernon recently completed the fire academy at Northeast Texas Community College.
He was honored during a graduation ceremony held at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Pynes is now eligible to take the Texas Commission on Fire Protection Exam to complete his certification. The next NTCC Fire Academy will begin January 24, 2011.
