The Mount Vernon FFA Public Relations team placed second at the district Leadership Contest at Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant on Friday, Nov. 12. They will compete at the area competition in Tyler on Saturday, Nov. 20. Emily Floyd placed second as a Greenhand Creed Speaker and will advance to area, and Corrine Johnson placed second as a Chapter Farmer Creed Speaker. She will compete at area.
