Mount Vernon ISD has joined other school districts  across the State of Texas who are offering an incentive for teachers to resign their positions. Superintendent John Kaufman advised staff members via email on Friday, Feb. 25 that the Board of Trustees for MVISD is offering a $10,000 exit incentive to the first 15 employees on a term contract with at least 20 years of service in education who apply.
