Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Seventy-nine entries have been registered for the annual Mount Vernon / Saltillo Young Farmer Project Show. The event is this Saturday, March 28 at the Livestock Pavilion located on FM 115 in Mount Vernon. Exhibitor check-in is at 7:30 a.m. followed by the weigh-in and judging for the various categories. at 8 a.m. The suck bucket contest for children under the age of eight is at 1 p.m.  Concessions will be available and all proceeds will go toward maintenance of the pavilion building.
