Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Approximately 88 of the 96 Mount Vernon Intermediate School Student Council members attended an Elegant Feast at the First United Methodist Church on the evening of Monday, Nov. 28.  Food for the event was provided by the parents. Marilyn Elbert served as guest speaker, and 18 prominent figures of the community served as guests and joined the students for the feast. The feast  was about learning proper etiquette and a fine dining experience. Parents served the students as a wait staff dressed in black and white wait attire, and tables were arranged with fine china and silverware for all courses.
