Dena Neal, a high school teacher, and Tammy White, an elementary teacher, were the winners of the turkeys for the 2011 turkey feather contest at Saltillo ISD. Each year, the Saltillo Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America sell turkey feathers to the students to raise money for Hopkins County Angel shopping. They also have a  hamburger luncheon for the teachers to raise money. This year, they earned $800 for their Angel Shopping. The two teachers who have the most turkey feathers purchased in their honor receive frozen turkeys for their families.
