The biennial district realignment by the University Interscholastic League was revealed on Thursday, Feb. 2. Mount Vernon ISD moved down to Conference 2A Division 1.
Student counts were submitted in October 2011. Mount Vernon turned in a count of 408 students in the high school. This is a lesser number than submitted last time, and the limits for 2A were adjusted to include schools from 200 to 449 students with 297.5 being the division separation.
