The Athletic Booster Club is getting prepared for the 2009-10 school year. A meeting has been set for Monday, June 1 at 6 p.m. at Mount Vernon Cafe to fill two vacant positions on the club’s board of directors and to discuss opportunities for service for the coming year. Gary Givney, club president, recently detailed the support provided to athletic groups by ABC. The group spent more than $13,000 in support, with $2,817 specifically for girls athletics and $2,352 for boys athletics. See the May 28 edition of the Optic-Herald.
