Marisa Summerlin makes a jump shot for the Lady Tigers. She scored the most points for the ladies during the Hoopfest Tournament Dec. 3-5 in Winnsboro with 58 points. The Mount Vernon Lady Tigers basketball team will compete at the Great East Texas Shootout tournament in Brownsboro Dec. 10-12. They are currently ranked 22nd in the state by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.  The ladies will have their first game against Tatum at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 in the Brownsboro Elementary Gym. Last week the team competed at the Hoopfest Tournament in Winnsboro.
