Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

Aly Sherman, a basketball  standout and 2008 graduate from Mount Vernon High School, is currently playing college basketball for the Lady Buffaloes of West Texas A&M. The Lady Buffs are 20-2 and ranked ninth in the nation. Miss Sherman, a sophomore Kinesiology major, has played in  all 22 games and has scored 68 points, with 37 assists, 7 blocks, 19 free throws, and 51 rebounds.  For more information, see the Feb. 4 edition of the Optic-Herald.
