District competition for 15-3A football will begin on Friday. The Mount Vernon Tiger football team will travel to to Pleasant Grove for the first time in three years to face the Hawks on their new field on Friday at 7:30 p.m. “Everyone is starting off fresh in district, and it is a five game race to the finish line,” Coach Mike Alexander said.
