RESOLUTION NO. 10-01

A RESOLUTION ORDERING A GENERAL ELECTION IN THE
CITY OF MOUNT VERNON, TEXAS – MAY 8, 2010

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOUNT VERNON, TEXAS:

An election is hereby ordered on Saturday May 8, 2010 for the purpose of electing a  Mayor and two (2) Alderpersons for two year terms.  This election is to be held at City Hall, 109 N. Kaufman Street, Mount Vernon, Texas.  Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted each weekday at this same location between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., beginning April 26, 2010 and ending May 4, 2010.  Monday’s early voting will be conducted from 8:00 A.M. through 8:00 P.M.  Applications for ballots by mail shall be mailed to:

Applications for ballots by mail must be received no later than the close of business on April 30, 2010.
